more than 6200 vidarbha cotton farmers suicides will be main issue in next October 2009 Maharashtra assembly election ,the recent reports of CAG and planning commission of India that separate vidarbha state is only solution to stop on going farm suicides and to remove economic backlog of region and 117 pages letter of Maharashtra governor s.c. jamir that his own instructions for allotment of fund for irrigation has not been implement and fund for vidarbha development has been diverted to western Maharashtra will be focused in next election
"we will ask all voters of vidarbha not to vote the party's candidates apposing the vidarbha development ,responsible for cotton farmers suicides ,tribal starvation death and mal nutrition issue and very severe power crisis,in last 5 years more than 1 lacs jobs has been lost in vidarbha due closing of industries and not single industry has come up.people of vidarbha are dying due to continuous apathy of state and we want responsible public representative to solve our problems and stop farmers suicides' kishore tiwari of vidarbha janandolan samiti informed in press note.
"we are taking out 'Matdar Jagran Yatra' to take up issue of vidarbha farmers suicides for political discussion and vidarbha economic issues should be at the centre of the forth coming assembly election not religion,caste,marathi-nonmarathi like baseless issue to take over the election.people of vidarbha has been suffering a lot after the formation of maharashtra ,recent agrarian crisis is byproduct of huge economic backlog in the region ,present ruler has made vidarbha as colony of western Maharashtra and it's liberation basic issue that we will raise throughout the election" tiwari said .
VJAS is trying to include the recent recommendations of CAG and planing commission in the manifesto of mainly Congress-NCP and BJP as there is very Little hope from shivsena to act on it due to their mumbaikar agenda and MNS is party without vision and economic plan hence it useless to follow up them and third front is rented service of sharad pawar hence it better to follow up NCP for third front economic programme ,kishore tiwari informed .
"the present malfunctioning of PDF government and massive corruption in administration which has lead to complete failure of farmer's relief package ,AIBP,NRHM,NAREGA gas aggravated the present crisis and poor followup of serious issues by the BJP-SENA MLAs is also the Major issue hence we will ask all voter to punish the MLA who are responsible for farmers killing ,we are asking not vote the corrupt MLA who are involved in hand-in-gloves arrangement with PDF ministers and we will expose their dual role to the people so that voters can vote other than party base candidates to have more sensitive representation in vidarbha"tiwari said.
